Air Duct Cleaning
Precise Carpet Cleaning provides professional air duct cleaning in the St. Louis and St. Charles county area. Air duct cleaning, when done correctly helps to remove allergens and dust that have built up over time in your air duct system.
We follow NADCA guidelines for cleaning air duct systems and we use the most thorough process available. Our process is called negative air cleaning with the push / pull cleaning system. This process is far superior to the other process which is done using a brush attached to the end of a vacuum hose. We are also able to clean your whole system, not just the easy to reach areas.
Air duct cleaning in St. Louis is recommended to be done every 3-10 years except in cases where there is a respiratory concern with someone in the building, such as asthma or severe allergies. In these cases, cleaning more often could be beneficial.
What to Expect From Your Air Duct Cleaning
With more than 20 years of experience air duct cleaning in St. Louis, you can expect the highest level of professionalism from our technicians as they clean your air ducts. Our negative air cleaning system is the best and most recommended way we can clean your HVAC air duct system. We follow NADCA guidelines for cleaning your air duct system.
Our Air Duct Cleaning Process
Our air duct cleaning process is called negative air cleaning or the push-pull system. We use brushes and compressed air to push the dust and debris toward a highly efficient filtration system that will trap even the smallest dust particles.
The equipment we use to perform this process is a large HEPA filtered duct cleaning machine connected to your air duct system next to your furnace. This machine puts the entire system under negative air pressure allowing us to use rotating brushes and compressed air to clean and push all the dust and debris from each vent to the HEPA filtered vacuum system. This allows us to clean each supply, each return air vent, and the main line of the home.
Because we have the whole system closed up except the vent we are cleaning there is very little chance of dust getting out of the duct system while cleaning. Our vacuum system is running the whole time which will be cleaning your air while we are there.
To effectively clean your entire air duct system we will need to make some access openings. These will all be sealed after cleaning with a metal plate or plastic caps. This is all standard and is required to completely clean your system. The pictures to the right will give you an idea of what it looks like.
The large opening is for our negative air machine access, this is needed because of the amount of air flow needed to properly clean your air ducts system. The small holes are for us to gain access with our brushes and air compressor air hose. We use a brush and a lot of compressed air from the smaller openings to push all the dust and debris toward the larger opening where our negative air machine is pulling it toward. This keeps the dust contained in the ventilation system while we are cleaning and allows a complete cleaning of your air duct system.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
We also provide dryer vent cleaning for the St. Louis metro area. This service will completely clean your dryer vent. We normally use a rotating brush followed by compressed air to ensure a thorough cleaning. Cleaning your dryer vent can be done at the same time as your vent cleaning. Some dryer vents need to be cleaned more often than others. Dryer vents with longer runs and more elbows will need to be cleaned more often.
